Morus Alba Linn. (Family: Moraceae), commonly known as mulberry, are mainly used as Food for the silkworms and they are sometimes eaten as a vegetable or used as livestock fodder in various parts of the world. The use of plants for health purposes started a long time ago, probably in the beginning moment when a person became ill. About 3,000 years before the present time was mankind well aware of the medicinal properties of some of the plants that grow around him. The use of plants for healing disease and the relief of physical ailments began from the earliest times of human history.
